Subaru Loves the Earth - Domi W

In honor of Subaru Loves the Earth, for Earth Day 2022 we asked our customers to help us expand our efforts of protecting the Earth with our Plant It Forward initiative! Every customer that came into our service department to get service done on their vehicle received a packet of Perennial Wildflower Mix. Wildflowers are super easy to plant and some of the most rewarding flowers to grow! They provide food and habitat for local wildlife and pollinators, like birds, bees and butterflies, and can also improve soil health, prevent erosion and improve water quality. The best part is that these flowers will grow back every year, helping to enhance and protect our environment for generations to come!

Random Act of Kindness - Katie C

In honor of Random Acts of Kindness week, Williams Subaru was thrilled to partner up with the Bradford County Humane Society to come up with a creative campaign where our employees sponsored their own four-legged valentines! Each employee donated $10 and picked out a pet at the shelter to be their four-legged valentine. Many employees couldn’t choose just one, so they sponsored multiple valentines! We promoted the campaign on all our social media pages and encouraged the public to donate and sponsor their own four-legged valentine as well. Each employee also got a sign with their pet’s photo and information to hang on their desk. Our customers loved looking at all the adorable pets when they were at the dealership and hopefully, it will help get them adopted to their fur-ever home. The money was used to buy the Bradford County Humane Society much-needed supplies including over 100 pounds of dog food, 80 pounds of cat food, cat litter, blankets, toys, treats, and even some donuts for their wonderful employees and volunteers! They were very thankful for the donations, and we were all happy we could help! #SubaruRAK

The Brindles - Maryanne B

The brindle pups were only about 10 weeks old but they had already lived through the storm. They were born in North Carolina and their story as we know it begins when they were about six weeks old, a commuter spotted them roaming around on a three lane highway. Filled with frantic energy, this kind person rounded them up and took them to a nearby shelter. After a few shots and some loving care, the four pups were loaded onto a transport van to the north, and arrived at BCHS after a twelve hour ride. These little sighthounds, maybe whippet or greyhound, weren't typical cuddly puppies. They were all speed and angles and crazy colors. They were a circus. They weren't getting adopted. Then things changed. The Brindles, Clementine, Cedrick, Claudette and Clarice, were picked to visit our wonderful partners at Williams Subaru of Sayre. They tore around the showroom, in a blaze of brindle, and snuggled with Patrick Whited. Subaru sponsored their adoptions, and posted an adorable video of them at the showroom. They were soon adopted and they got GREAT homes. The adopters sent pictures of them with their toys and blankets. The adopters are ordering Bark Boxes and special puppy food for their new speedy friends. From near death on a Southern highway to being completely loved - these pups weren't just lucky, they got a crucial hand up from Williams Subaru of Sayre. The adopters say they will stop by Williams Subaru to show Patrick how spoiled the pups are.

Williams Subaru Farmer's Market - Emily O

This August Williams Subaru hosted a Farmer's Market for our community that featured local craft and food vendors. In addition to the vendors, the Bradford County Humane Society attended and brought puppies and kittens that were available for adoption. Williams Subaru covered all adoption fees if the animal was adopted that day at the Farmer's Market. We're happy to report that every single puppy that was brought was adopted that same day to their fur-ever homes.

A Pandemic Can’t Stop The Love - Jennifer K

The Central Pennsylvania Food Bank has seen an outpouring of support from the community that has been incredible. Thousands of generous individuals and companies have helped to Give Hope Now, but our work is far from over. The Food Bank has seen demand for food assistance increase more than 40% in the past year and expects demand to remain at these high levels for the next two years. With a “strong front” to combat hunger, the Food Bank and its more than 1,000 partner agencies and programs provided over 50 million meals this past year. But community support is what gets the job done - volunteering, donating and raising awareness all contribute to addressing food insecurity across Pennsylvania. Thank you Williams Subaru of Sayre for your generous donation of 39,302 meals to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. Together, we can end hunger.

Blankets for our Homeless Shelter - Katie R

We were thrilled to receive warm blankets from our Subaru dealer! Our homeless shelter has been operating over capacity this year and has been using local motels to house anyone in need. Having warm blankets on hand is very welcome for those we're serving. And something that we go through very quickly! We were glad to partner with Emily and get the blankets to those that need them most. Our Shelter Manager, Jacque, was thrilled to receive the blankets. And we were honored that our local TV station was able to come to the Shelter and cover this warm donation. Thank you!

In November 2020, Williams Subaru of Sayre donated blankets to Second Place East Homeless Shelter in Elmira, New York as part of the Subaru Loves To Help national campaign. These blankets will help keep residents warm while staying in the shelter, or help those outside of the shelter who still need warmth during the winter months.

Christmas Is For Kids - Irene R

This year, Williams Subaru of Sayre donated $1000 worth of bicycles to our local Christmas Is For Kids charity event. Every year we (local radio station WATS/WAVR) partner up with the local Salvation Army on the Saturday before Christmas to raise monetary and toy donations. We have a live remote broadcast in front our local movie theater and people, businesses and organizations stop by with their donations. These donations stay 100% local and will be distributed to families in need during this Christmas season. Williams Subaru showed up to our live remote broadcast event with a caravan of vehicles that were full of the bicycles; it was such an awesome sight to see!

Share The Love Retailer Donation - Maryanne B
