What is the Subaru Love Promise?

Subaru and our retailers believe in making the world a better place and the Subaru Love Promise is our vision of respecting all people. This is our commitment to show love and respect to our customers and to work to make a positive impact in the world.

The Subaru Love Promise Community Commitment

We believe in being a positive force in something bigger. And it all starts right here in our community. Not just by our donations, but by our actions.

That's why we stay true to our Love Promise Community Commitment by partnering with a wide variety of community nonprofits and charities.

Every year, we join hands with our owners in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to our community-a community that's given so much to us.

So, every day, we strive to ensure our love is felt not just by our customers, but by all in our community. We do this because we feel it is the right thing to do.

We are proud to participate in the Love Promise Community Commitment. We're grateful, not only to be a part of our community, but to serve and support the causes and passions that are closest to our hearts, right here in our neighborhood.

All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: the unwavering dedication to improve the world and the lives of its people.

Pets

Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.

A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated close to $14 million to the ASPCA and helped support nearly 1,000 pet adoption events, resulting in more than 11,500 adoptions to date.

Environment

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Over a decade ago, Subaru became the first U.S. auto manufacturer to become zero-landfill, and now, in collaboration with the National Park Service and the National Parks Conservation Association, Subaru is leveraging that same environmental expertise to help the National Parks reach zero-landfill too.

Education

It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.

Total donations to teachers: $92,233
Over 200 teachers adopted
More than 15,000 students impacts

Community

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

Subaru and Meals on Wheels America worked together to make volunteering easier, by launching a tool called the Meals on Wheels Online Volunteer Drive.

Health

We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.

Subaru has donated more than $4.5 million dollars to
Make A Wish, helping to grant 610 wishes in the U.S.

Providing Comfort to Patients  –  Valerie S

With the summer heat in Pennsylvania, most people are busy trying to find ways to cool off but patients undergoing chemotherapy can have side effects that make them feel cold no matter what time of year it is. LLS would like to thank Sayre Subaru for taking the time to help deliver blankets and messages of hope to the patients at Guthrie Cancer Center. The blankets not only brought warmth but also comfort to those in a time of difficulty. It really is the little things that help to bring light to people in need and we are grateful for the kindness and generosity of the staff at Sayre. It was our pleasure to help facilitate the deliveries and to coordinate sharing the Subaru love with local cancer patients.

Subaru Loves To Learn  –  Michelle M

Thank you to Subaru for fostering our students’ love of learning through their generous donation of the large collection of science-themed books. These award-winning titles will provide exciting opportunities for exploration and discovery and help to bridge the gap to careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics for our students. In addition, these new and exciting science resources will be invaluable to the students of H. Austin Snyder Elementary School. They will continue to enjoy reading the books covering topics including light waves, coral reefs, inventors, and science projects and activities. We appreciate Williams Subaru making these exceptional titles available to our elementary students.

Sherlock Got a New Start!  –  Maryanne B

Sherlock is an eight year old Blue Tick Hound who lost his family when they had to move to a retirement community. He came to Bradford County Humane Society last Spring and was initially adopted, but he was too grumpy to make it work. After that he worked hard to make friends at the Lazy Dog Golf Tournament, and Bark for Life but still did not get adopted! He was a good sport about it, though and was featured in a video with our friends from Subaru in one of their vehicles. After that video, where Patrick Whited made it obvious that the grumpy boy did not mind a few hugs, Sherlock was adopted by a loving family, and he is very happy indeed. Williams Subaru has sponsored several of our pet adoptions through their Farmer's Market events and they have been awesome partners for shelter animals!

Make a Dog’s Day  –  Andy A

Subaru is proud to establish the first-ever National Make A Dog’s Day October 22nd. As part of Subaru Loves Pets month, we’re inviting all dog lovers to do something extra special for their furry best friends. Plus, Subaru will be focusing our efforts on helping the hardest-to-adopt shelter Dogs –those with special needs-find homes. Get ready to fall in love withThe Underdogs. #MakeADogsDay Meet Gabi! Gabi has been at the Humane Society of NWGA (Northwest Georgia) for seven years. If you asked the volunteers to pick their favorite animal at the shelter, Gabi would win hands down. She does not do well with dogs or cats so must be the only animal in an adult only family. She loves people and will bond very quickly to you. Gabi would make someone a great companion. She is waiting patiently for her forever home. If you have room in your heart and your home for this sweet girl then please fill out an adoption application, highlight and right click this link: https://hsnwga.org/adoption/application-for-adoption/?fbclid=IwAR2Ie18p6U3ryKi-niIuIZFTd-waD98xrySl7IJmiRBXE239WP7dpODubiU #MakeADogsDay #SubaruLovesPets #TheUnderdogs

Williams Subaru Shares the Love to Cancer Patients  –  Victoria B

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Central PA Chapter was proud to partner with Williams Subaru in June during Subaru Loves to Care month to provide support to patients fighting cancer. Williams Subaru had the opportunity to hand deliver warm blankets to local cancer patients at Guthrie Sayre. Many of these patients and their loved ones became overcome with emotion as the blankets were distributed and shared that Williams Subaru and their community is here to support them. The warm Subaru blankets will go to great use, reminding the local patients that their new Williams Subaru is there to support them through their treatment. Thank you, Williams Subaru, for bringing warmth, love and hope to patients in our communities through Subaru Loves to Care!

Williams Subaru Shares the Love to Cancer Patients  –  Tara R

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Central PA Chapter was proud to partner with Williams Subaru in June during Subaru Loves to Care month to provide support to patients fighting cancer. Our brand new Williams Subaru retailer had the opportunity to hand deliver warm blankets to local cancer patients at Guthrie Sayre. Many of these patients and their loved ones became overcome with emotions as the blankets were distributed and shared that Williams Subaru and their community is here to support them. As a brand new Subaru retailer, having their grand opening in May and located just down the street from the hospital, this delivery provided a powerful opportunity to engage with their community. We learned that more than 50 cancer patients come through the doors at Guthrie Sayre each day - the warm Subaru blankets will go to great use, reminding the local patients that their new Williams Subaru is there to support them through their treatment.
