Rooted in Community - Tiffany S
To celebrate Subaru Loves the Earth, Williams Subaru gave away 100 free trees to members of our communityan initiative aimed at making our neighborhoods greener, healthier, and more beautiful for generations to come. The response was incredible, with dozens of excited community members eager to take home a tree and share their planting plans. From backyard transformations to meaningful memorial plantings, we were inspired by the heartfelt stories people shared. The trees were gone in no time, and we couldnt be happier to play a small part in helping our community growliterally and figuratively.
Keeping Kids Warm in Bradford County! - Tiffany S
As part of the Subaru Loves to Help initiative, Williams Subaru has made a generous donation of brand-new winter coats to the Bradford County YMCA through Operation Warm. These coats will be given to children in Bradford County who may need a little extra warmth this winter season, helping to ensure that no child has to face the cold without proper protection. This thoughtful donation reflects Subarus commitment to giving back to the community, while the YMCA continues to provide invaluable support to local families in need. It's a beautiful reminder of the power of kindness and the warmth we can spread when we come together.
Trunk or Treat! - Tiffany S
In October, Williams Subaru hosted an amazing Trunk or Treat event, where local businesses and community members came together to pass out candy to all the kids in the area. Everyone went all in, decorating their vehicles and making it a memorable experience for the children. With a line that wrapped around the dealership, it was a fun, safe, and festive Halloween event that brought the community together for a night of excitement and sweet treats.
Race For Life - Valley BMX - Ed & Bonnie G
First, we would like to thank Williams Subaru for the generous donation for our Race For Life event at Valley BMX, right here in Athens, PA. The Race For Life Series was started in 1981 to help a fellow BMXer diagnosed with leukemia. Todd Kingsbury lost his life to blood cancer, and since his passing, USA BMX has supported efforts to prevent others from losing their life to this terrible disease. USA BMX & BMX Canada are among the top fundraisers for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each year, riders raise funds for this worthwhile cause and for the past 35 years, BMXers and tracks have raised more than 4 million dollars for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Williams Subaru helped us continue to support those who fight every day against this terrible disease. Our track, riders, spectators & family thank Williams Subaru for their generous donation.

Williams Subaru of Sayre and the Bradford County Humane Society - Victoria D
Williams Subaru of Sayre partners with the Bradford County Humane Society for the Subaru Loves Pets initiative. As an employee of Williams Subaru I've had the pleasure of experiencing first hand all of the dogs and cats that come in in search of their Furever homes. On April 9th Maryann from the Humane Society brought in two Beagle Chihuahua mix puppies and I fell in LOVE!! Franklin quickly made himself right at home. I'm so fortunate to work for such a Wonderful Company and Franchise that gives so much back to the community. Thank You to Williams Subaru of Sayre, Subaru, and the Humane Society for all you continue to do.
Operation Warm: Bradford County Branch YMCA - Randi M
We were contacted by Operation Warm and collaborated with Williams Subaru of Sayre, PA to bring this wonderful event to fruition. Through coordination with both parties we scheduled a free winter coat giveaway event for our Community on January 15, 2024. Williams Subaru sent representatives on that date to deliver an abundance of winter coats for all sizes ages 5 up to adults, for males and females. We opened our doors to the community that afternoon from 3pm until 7pm for children, youth, families, and individuals to stop in an pick up coats as they needed. We were extremely fortunate to have a large outpouring of people in need that visited our facility and received free winter coats. It was an excellent event that we are very proud to have helped facilitate and provide to our members of our community.
The "Subaru Loves Pets" supported pet adoptions for Bradford County Humane Society! - Maryanne B
Two remarkable adoptions occurred during the Subaru Loves Pets event during October. First, the pilot who flew nine puppies to safety from high kill shelters and saved them all despite his small airplane's engine failure, was able to adopt this pup who shared his hair-raising experience. He named her "Sky." She's a very sweet pointer pup and she will always mean so much to him because of their shared adventure! Second, Little Ghost, a kitten who came to the shelter with a dreadfully infected eye, was adopted. Ghost was a true Underdog, having lost his eye shortly after the vet examined him. Ghost never lost his playful sweetness, and seemed very relieved after the surgery for the painful infection. Ghost was quickly adopted by a kind woman in Massachusetts when BCHS reached out for a foster. She is the best foster of all, saying, "I will foster him by adopting him as my furever kitty." Bradford County Humane Society is very honored to partner with Williams Subaru of Sayre for Subaru Loves Pets. Everyone at Subaru truly goes the distance for the well-being of our little companions. For every adoption, Subaru of America donates $100.00 during the month of October, and it is so very helpful to the animal shelter.
Williams Subaru Trunk or Treat - Angela S

Williams Subaru hosted the BCHS Annual Fur Ball at its Big Showroom! - Maryanne B
For the second year in a row, Bradford County Humane Society celebrated a year of adoptions and lifesaving assistance to pets at risk at the spacious and beautiful Williams Subaru of Sayre Showroom. The warm hospitality of the Williams crew, in particular, Lisa Thompson, Sales Manager for offering her fun and witty talent as the Master of Ceremonies, was so gracious and generous. The General Manager, Patrick Whited offered help for everything we needed, as he has for the last several years. A better partner could not be found! With help from these wonderful folks the shelter was able to raise over $22,000.00 for the lost pets of Bradford and Sullivan Counties through this year's Fur Ball. Awards were presented to both Williams Subaru and Kerry Spaulding for their lifesaving contributions to BCHS shelter animals, during the dinner. Thank you to everyone at Subaru! You are a wonderful support to the local community.

Subaru Loves to Help Kids at Risk - Cindy J
Our local Subaru dealer, Williams Subaru of Sayre recently reached out with a very kind offer of donating socks to Kids at Risk, one of the ministries within The Bridge of Penn-York Valley Churches. The Bridge is a non-profit organization that serves the Waverly, Sayre and Athens school districts. When school personnel become aware of students with needs, they reach out to Cindy Jones, coordinator of Kids at Risk. Thanks to generous donations, Kids at Risk is able to help provide items such as shirts and pants, coats, hats, gloves and boots, as well as socks and shoes. Kids at Risk also helps each school building to keep their nurse's office stocked with clothing and hygiene items to meet students' daily unexpected needs. Subaru's kind gift of 520 pairs of socks will go a long way in helping our students. On a cold, blustery day such as today, pairs of warm, dry socks will help make for a more comfortable school day for boys and girls who need them. Thank you Williams Subaru of Sayre for caring about our school children!
Subaru sponsored Maggie to a loving home - Maryanne B
Maggie and her sister were found abandoned at the shelter one cold morning with 13 puppies. They were both nursing the puppies and they were thin and miserable. Maggie was deathly ill with a mammary infection. She had a mastectomy, and then began a long stay at the shelter. She was a big strong pit bull, and too much for many people to take on, even though she was sweet to the core. She got depressed after her sister was adopted. After more than a year, she was featured in a video at Subaru, and adopted! We have an update from her new family. She adores them all, and they adore her. Here she is "under the Christmas tree! Thank you, Patrick Whited for always being willing to hug the big dogs!
